A spinoff from Laguna Beach brings the life of LC and all the drama that follows her. Very addicitive to watch and the seasons keep getting better as time goes on.

I watch this as much as i can. Ive been hollywood and know good it is out there. They live amazin lives and the drama that's in it is down to earth a true reallity program 5 0ut 0f 5 from me

I happen to think that The Hills is a very good show. It's engaging and you can relate to the girls as some of the things that happen to them, do actually happen! I'm not saying that things that occur in soaps such as Hollyoaks or Eastenders don't happen but the same thing happens in all the soaps. If someone gets kidnapped in Eastenders, without a doubt someone will be getting kidnapped in Coronation Street and Emmerdale aswell! It's not like that with this. You get wrapped into the characters aswell. It really is a good show, although I'd say it was more for the ladies than the guys. Just watch one episode and you'll soon find yourself wanting to know what happens in the next one!

I've watched this on mtv and wouldn't spend money on buying the dvd but if you've got spare time/money then why not.
I started watching these mtv "reality" shows when i was a student and very quickly became addicted! It might be fake but i didn't really care, it's like a soap but with a better looking cast, and unlike british soaps everyone is rich, glamourous and the sun always shines! The characters are shallow and the "crises" they go through are embarassing compared to what real people go through...part of me hates myself for liking this!
If you liked the oc or other mtv shows then you'll probably like this. It's trashy, almost mind-numbing but it's a bit of escapism.

Shamefully additive MTV 'reality' show based upon the spin-off of the short lived success of The Oc, Laguna Beach- The real Oc. Confused already? If so, you probably won't get it and I don't recommend you bother as you're not missing much. Infact, run. Get away whilst you can and buy yourself a Curb Your Enthusiasm box set, or at least a season of Will & Grace. Anything to escape the guilt that the purchase of this box set will bring after you have been so astounded by the lives of these LA rich kids that you sit and stare in a daze, stare at the screen and before you know it you have watched the entire first season!
But if, like me you have become a slave to the nu-wave Mtv 'reality' programmes and watched The Oc religiously then it's hard to resist. Despite the programme being the living proof that the word 'like' can be said so many times that one becomes immune upon hearing it.
For content this gets one star, for addictiveness on new levels it gets five stars. I will have to settle in the middle and give it three. But, I beg you potential customers with half a brain- this could be the beginning of your downward spiral into a pit of artificially enhanced, low-brow, trashy culture.

Who cares if it is staged etc... Jason, Stephen, Brody (tho check out his bro) make it beautiful telly. Heidi and Spencer are hilarious as the pantomime dames. Lauren is fab, along with Whitney and Lo(!).

The Hills is another MTV reality show and a spin-off of the popular series Laguna Beach. Like Laguna Beach, many of scenes appear to be set up and staged. For example, how do the cameras film characters answering their phones in their cars and film the person on the other end simultaneously. They obviously don't wait for hours for the right time. On the other hand, The Hills is a more mature show than Laguna Beach as it showcases the characters at their full time jobs, The characters also have their own apartments unlike the high schoolers in Laguna Beach. The Hills is a lot more interesting as it creates new characters and new locations. Seeing Beverly Hills is a change of scenery and Lauren Conrad "LC" was always a popular character on Laguna, so is enjoyable to watch her progress and undertake her internship at Teen Vogue. This Series has loads of drama which you would expect. It is the TV equivalent of cotton candy fluffy, artificial, and totally addictive.

LC was always my favourite character on Laguna so it was no surprise that I loved The Hills- its more grown up and a lot cooler. There is of course Drama! Along with relationship and career stuff- I really love this DVD, if you like Laguna Beach then you'll LOVE this! I highly recommend it! Can't wait to buy Season 2.
