An effectively harrowing and non exploitative recap of real life events, Out Of The Blue dramatizes New Zealand's largest mass murder - the November 13th 1990 slaying of 13 residents of the small seaside town of Aramoana by a well armed local loner, David Gray, whose reasons for going homicidal died with him the next morning.

Brilliant Fact based re creation of New zelands worst ever mass shootings where 13 people lost there lives at the hands of an Angry Loner. In this day and age this kind of Tragedys all too common,The nearest we had to this story was Micheal Ryans Hungerford Gun rampage in the 80,s.This underplayed and realistically portrayed version of the events that over took a small southern New zeland comunity in 1990 is Wonderfully shot and looks Lush,These images play surreal against the Random shootings and real horror. The films more of a story of a group of people attacked Out of the blue and trying Desperatly to help each other"No more so than the little old lady who crawls Back and Fourth thru a ditch to help a man she doesent realy know,That Lady is a Legend. This is a Film i shall definatly watch again to see if i get anything else out of it,i think it needs more than one sitting to check out the different Layers,"Recommended.

A true story based on the tragic events from 1990 in New Zeland where a local man of Aramona loses control and goes on a killing spree.
I am not a macbre person but it was strangley uplifting. How the whole community come together in this time of need. Some great performances throughout the film especially from an elder lady i belive in her first roll. (worth watching just for her)
