Suburban Girl is based on stories from the bestselling book The Girls' Guide To Hunting And Fishing. Sarah Michelle Gellar stars in this funny and disarmingly wise romantic comedy set against the exhilarating backdrop of New York City.
Brett Eisenberg (Gellar) is an ambitious young book editor living in the literary hotbed of Manhattan's Upper East Side. But though she tries her best to act the clued-up city girl, she just can't shake her suburban insecurities.
When she meets publishing playboy Archie Knox (Alec Baldwin) she finally finds a gentleman eager to mentor her in and out of the bedroom. But although Archie appears to be the perfect ally in the book world as well as in bed, he also has baggage - ex-wives, a distant daughter, not to mention a very raunchy photo album of former girlfriends. Will it have a happy ending? There's only one way to find out...

I wasn't sure what to expect when i saw this film first time, but i loved it!!! it's sweet and funny at times and sad at the end. I would recommend this film to anyone over the age of 12 and think it is a must-see, must-have girly film. I think this is one of Sarah Michelle Gellar's best films and hope there is another film coming out soon.

I love Sarah Michelle Geller . At first I was a little creeped out that she was getting it on with Alec Baldwin as he is not sexy and old but it is such a big part of the story line you couldnt so it any other way. An excellent film not what I expected but really good.

When i saw this film i was not expecting to watch anything more than your average rom-com but this film is much more mature and deeper than alot of other films of the same genre. the acting by Gellar and Baldwin is perfect with great chemistry and the support can't be faulted.
All in all and light hearted film that is very enjoyable and sweet. highly recommended.
