When I read that this film was done in shakey blair witch style, I thought " oh great, another low budget wana be horror flick! ". I have to say that I was quite surprised by this one. Not a bad watch at all. Nothing mind blowing , but will keep you entertained throughout. I was quite shocked by the ending - I thought it was very graphic and blood thirsty concidering its 15 cert, but thats what you want from a good horror so I aint complaining!!!!

This movie works kind of like a American update of Cannibal Holocaust, and must not be confused with The Rock movie of the same name ( A.K.A. The Rundown). Film is filmed as a home movie in Blair Witch and Cloverfield style. The story revolves of a group of back-packers searching for Michael Rockerfella who went missing in 1961 on a expedition off the shoes of New Guinea, thought to have drowned, or eaten by Cannibals, but sightings of him say that he is living with tribes deep in the Jungle. The first 50 minutes of the film deals with the journey deep into the jungle where the back packers have to deal with Rebels, heavy handed border guards, drug and booze fueled nights, and finally there relationship's as they reach breaking point. The fact that the four leads are not very likable, only leads you wanting them to become lunch for the Cannibal tribes. But when the horror arrives, it is quite brutal for the given 15 certificate, leading to a abrupt and downbeat ending.
This is no way a classic horror film, but for it's short runing time, it does deliver the goods.
The film is worth renting before you decide to buy, as no doubt it will be loved or loathed by the viewer.
Not bad at all.
Try before you buy!

Don't know why the film is entirely filmed on video camera, takes the scary feeling away. Overall nae bad film ish but you need to watch it a second time before you begin to like it. Think the ending should have been better because it is short and pointless!!
For some reason I did like it but maybe I'm a bit daft lol

I tend to like other movies people don't.
If your a hardcore horror fan you will probably like it.
It has several flaws and can get quite boring if your just a general film fan forget it.
brilliant

Lets get it out the way first,This is Cannibal Holocaust,s Younger cheaper wannabe Modern day Kid Brother.Theres large chunks of this film i realy dident care for at all,Unless you want to watch home video footage of Obnoxious Camera mugging Aussie and American Students.I Realy wanted to like this film, but it,s all been done before and a alot better,On the plus side the film did liven up abit around the 48 minute mark when a scruffy Aussie guy tells our Back packers that he lives up there and those natives"Will kill ya,,They,ll kill ya",Of course our Students carry on being Obnoxious. The film also ends with a wimper when the film should of upped the Terror,There are moments of Tension but mostly it just fails"it,s like someone in a few years time trying to Re-make Cloverfeild"Pointless.I Realy wanted like this film but it,s just average,Hopefully one day someone will just make a straight up Cannibal film"They are Scary,Even the Cannibals in this lurking in the bushes are effective"There just not used very well.

Definately something you should watch but its not really ground breaking, although thrilling and you are left with a sense of fear if you're not in the right mood to watch it then you'll hate it as it will seem very long and boring. You really have to stick with it until the end to think its any good.
