This is another war film to have it sticks by its name as does platoon. Hamburger hill- perfect it has great srory line to it about the hill they have to capture and along the way the sites they witness people getting blown to bits. It was and is a perfect film to repressent the vietnam war.

I can remember my dad bringing this film back home from the video shop back in the 80's.I enjoyed the film alot watching it a few times before taking it back.When i saw the film on play.com i orderd a copy and i still think it is as powerful today.It is a close up war film that gets you involved with young troops in vietnam war. VERY POWERFUL !!

"Sandwiched?"YES"Between Platoon and Full metal jacket,i remember the 80,s Vietnam movie re-vival realy well,& this and those other two where the biggies.Platoon and Full metal jacket always got the big Attention"Obviously with the Oscars and the Kubrick return.The thing is,Hamburger hill is a gem of a war movie and ive always found it to be the more satisfying of the 3 films.The Acting,cinematography,soundtrack and War scenes are all first rate.It realy is the un-sung Hero of the 80,s Vietnam Movies,& lovely cover Art too as usual"i drew it once in Art and got a"E"For copying,ha,ha.

in contrast to its most famous rival Platoon, Hamburger Hill was about a war that was fought over so violently between the americans trying to gain a foothold over a fiercly defended Viet Cong position that was fraught with danger and booby traps to say the least.

Another good film based on the vietnam war but not as famous as Full Metal Jacket and Platoon but defitnitley a cult classic!
