One of the funniest films I've seen in years - made funnier by the fact I come from the town where the film became (and becomes) reality. Those from the New Forest who watch this film will know what I mean - others (Grockles) who have visited will recognise some aspects and those who like their humour dark will appreciate this clever, witty and often downright hilarious film. Highly recommended.
Great fun!

This film knows exactly what it is, where it fits in the genre it has been produced in and how to charm an audience with its character(s). Critical reviews on other sites have failed to see the old-fashioned adventure, the camp fun that everyone is having, mistaking Small Town Folk for an out-and-out horror film or gore-fest. It certainly has elements of both in it, but it also has more than that. The characters are pushing towards highly stereo-typed ones, but they know it and happily play with it. The lead actors are very watch-able and the supporting cast do a great job of keeping each scene fresh and fun.
Overall, very good showcase of some of the new brand of film-makers that are emerging in Britain that AREN'T focussing on hard-up-people-of-the-working-class-making-a-go-of-it-in-the-dream-job-they-always-wanted-despite-obvious-adversity-from parents/autority. Instead, the producers have set out to make a fun adventure, a little rough around the edges, with more charm than Roger Moore.
Buy this film today! Great fun, totally off-the-wall

I don't often buy DVDs anymore but this is one of those that's worth getting to keep and watch again, plus to show your mates... Quality film, really funny with good dark humour, and plenty of blood & guts! Any fan of the genre will love this film... on it's way to being a cult classic!
