I have to be honest, I was really dreading this film after some of the reviews I have read. My opinion is that OK, this film had a fairly flimsy story with no real depth, but as a fantasy adventure film it did an OK job. Granted it will never be a classic, but the effects were quite good, fairytale story... little people v big bad guys..... so all in all, probably never watch it again, but it was a alright Sunday afternoon no brainer of a movie.

I had high hopes for this despite all the bad press it got.. It was a litte disappointing to say the least.. First of all i know its not set in prehistoric era,but why was everyones basic english language so clear and well spoken..its meant to be 10,000 bc..second it was a cross between mel gibsons "apocalypto" and some soppy love story.. All it was about was some guy who wanted to save his girl who has been captured.. The film did have great special effects and action sequences,but it just lacked any depth. Roland emmerich obviously had a vision of the way things were in that era,but i just dont think any normal person would have the same idea. The cast is dull and no stars graced this film to give it a "blockbuster" tag. I was hoping to have seen more of the sabre tooth tiger..eg some kind of battle,but it was only in two scenes and neither of them involved any action. Overall this film isnt bad,and its ok to watch on a lazy day,but dont expect much. One man. One army. One battle.

First of all this is a copy of sorts of the much more accomplished Apocalypto, but with added mammoths and a ridiculous sabre tooth tiger.
Secondly you will see this one afternoon on TV where no-one will watch it and............
TRIVIA.....Camilla Belle is the young girl attacked at the beginning of the Lost world - jurassic park.

This is really bad, so bad that I was cringing allot of the time. The acting is bad, the casting is bad, the story is bad and the CGI looks like from 1985.

I really wanted this movie to be good, nothing is better then a good adventure movie however this is crap and I would avoid it.

I absolutely hate thes kind of films, this just tops it off as the worst in the genre.

I bought this film on blue ray thinking the effects will be great i paid £23 pound OUCH. It really is the worse film ever made. Boring Boring Boring. I watched it to the end because i paid too much for it, and it didn't get any better. Don't even think about buying this trash. Why is it still £10.99 on Play.com, it's not worth a Quid.

This film is a good example of a bad example... Why why why emphasize the sabre tooth tiger on the front cover when it plays such a small part in the film...???? I'll tell you why... Because it's the best bit of the movie...
I love a great 'n' gripping movie but i did not like nor enjoy this film at all... Jurassic park is a classic now and it's considerably better than 10000bc...
Mel gibson's apocalypto is a far better dvd night in...

I enjoyed the movie, it was good, but you'd have to watch it more than once for some of it to make sense. Watch it and see what you think, don't not watch it because other people say so!
In my opinion it was a brilliant movie and i really enjoyed it.

When i saw this advertised i thought o dear o dear it looks a bit rubbish. But i was wrong. Tho there isnt much action in it like they would have u believe it has a rele good story line and as long as u dont mind native american spirits etc then this is a good film to watch but it is not worth a tenner. U shod wait until it drops to about a fiver and then it is a good film

this is a really good film and worth the money.... good graphic and a good story... if you like propeses and history this is the film for you
