 Dentata

The movie Teeth is surprisingly good. I remember as I watched the trailer to the movie, I thought to myself, "What in the world was that!?" As I read up about it a little, I came to realise that it is actually the myth, Vagina Dentata, which means 'Toothed Vagina'.

When I started to watch the movie, I was wondering how they would really make this one watchable, but they certainly pulled it off, or I wouldn't have given it four stars. The reason I enjoyed this is mainly because I like a bit of brutality here and there, and although was quite subtle, it managed to really portray the horrifying effects that befall both the girl with the 'adaptation', and the men who have the pleasure of getting their bits 'bitten' off. It has the effect of making you want to see her 'use it', like some sort of cruel game, but it also prevails a much stronger message of beware sex with strange women - A cautionary tale.

One thing I didn't even notice properly until the end is that there isn't much of a story to this movie, which is why it lacks some for the 5 star rating, but it did have a little bit of a plot, which was interesting enough, but you don't really see much of it. The characters though, are well developed and acted out quite clearly.

Despite being a guy myself, I didn't find it difficult to watch, as some men might say; although, it was at some points a little cringing by the thought of it alone. But you quickly get over that an take on board that this is a movie, about a myth, and all is well again.

 what a wast of time

With no meaning or reason this is a terrible film. No plot or storyline, just about a weird women who leaves a couple of blokes without there privates. And nothing gets done about it or said about it??? The end.... Dont buy

 Come on people!!

I dont understand why people hate this film so much, i thought it was pretty obvious from when the trailers first came on and it was getting all hyped up, that it wasnt actuly going to be a terrifying horror film, i mean the whole idea is pretty funny and far fetched to begin with. Maybe the only reasons i enjoyed it is because im 18, immature and female, but if you took it in the right context it is hilarous and grusome at the same time. Fair enought the actings not great and the endings a bit annoying but its a decent enough effort and i think people should give it a watch!!

 Awful on every level

This film is not scary, not funny and not even remotelty interesting. You might think "it's about a girl with teeth on her fa..." but trust me, it's not a intersting as the premise might lead you to believe. Stay away or go rent a decent horror film like The Shining.

Teeth is a very strange film indeed, but a masterpiece none the less. Jess weixler the lead actress is excellent and gives a very believable performance, the film has some very painfull bloody scenes of male genital severance. The story starts out about an innocent virgin girl, who in the end embraces her special gift. A must perchase.
