Get ready to kick some grass!

Sing (Chow) is a skilled Shaolin kung fu devotee whose amazing "leg of steel" catches the eye of a crippled former soccer star turned coach! Together they assemble a squad of Sing's former Shaolin brothers (now disgruntled in a comical variety of unsatisfactory occupations!) inspired by the big-money prize in a national soccer competition and Sing's wish to repay the kindness of local 'beauty' Mui (Zhao Wei). Using an unlikely mix of martial arts and newfound soccer skills, it seems an unbeatable combination...until the band of misfits must face the dreaded Team Evil in the ultimate battle for the title!

With tons of action, eye-popping special effects and nonstop laughs, here's a hilarious martial arts comedy that's also the craziest football film ever!
  • Includes both the English dubbed 'International' version (87 mins) and the original Cantonese 'Extended' version (112 mins)!
  • 'Making Of' documentary
  • Outtakes
  • 'Special Effects' featurette
  • Guide to the Shaolin moves!

This is the best football movie ever

It has comedy, fighting, sadness and truimph
There is just one problem with the dvd - the origional version is in chinese and they have made a copy in english on the disc but they have cut like 3 scenes(about 10 mins worth of the film out)

Other than that - perfect

 Sod your blockbuster films

Shaolin Soccer came into my game of life and scored in the top corner.

The humour is just spot on, the effects are amazing for the small budget and the storyline is simple enough for a regular football hooligan to understand.

Fair enough, this thing didn't break the box office, but it's also more than fair to say it's never got the recognition it deserves!

Watch the full subtitled version, it's alot better.

I want one of those buns!

Absolutely amazing film, so original, beautifully made and funny - I can guarantee you will never have seen a movie like this! From the makers of Kung Fu Hustle - these movies are so underrated it's a sin.
Try something you've never tried before - you'll like it!

 Kung Fu master!!

I had a nice long review written here, but the page timed itself out and lost everything (thankyou Play.com) so i'll just second the reviews below.

This film is ace. If you've seen Kung Fu hustle, you'll love this. If not, definately one to watch.
