Species: Charged with pulse-pounding suspense, ingenious special effects from Academy Award® winner Richard Edlund and a first-rate cast including Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Alfred Molina, Forest Whitaker, Marg Helgenberger and Natasha Henstridge, Species is an adrenaline-charged thrill-ride you'll never forget!

When a beautiful human-alien hybrid (Natasha Henstridge) escapes from observation, scientist Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) dispatches a crew of experts to find her before she is able to fulfill her horrific purpose: to mate with unsuspecting men and produce offspring that could destroy mankind. As her deadly biological clock ticks rapidly, Fitch and his team are hurled into a desperate battle in which the fate of humanity itself hangs in the balance!

Species II: Having just returned from a mission to Mars, Commander Ross (Justin Lazard) isn't exactly himself. He's slowly becoming a terrifying alien entity with a one-track mind - -to procreate with human women!

When countless women suffer gruesome deaths after bearing half-alien offspring, scientist Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) and hired assassin Press Lennox (Michael Madsen) use Eve (Natasha Henstridge), a more tempered alien clone, to find Ross and his virulent brood. But they underestimate Eve's maternal drive, and before long she escapes to mate with Ross in order to create a purer and unstoppable race that could spell doom for mankind.

As time is running out, the ultimate battle of human brain over alien takes place in a chilling climax that puts Darwin's theory to the ultimate test...and only the strongest species will survive.

Species III: Mankind's number is up in this thrilling third installment of the Species franchise! Featuring eye-popping special effects, knuckle-whitening suspense and the dazzling performance of sexy newcomer Sunny Mabrey, this riveting film is the most jarring, action-packed chapter in the sci-fi series yet!

In the ongoing fight for supremacy between mankind and human-alien hybrids, a fatal hybrid weakness has given humans the advantage. Until now, when Sara (Mabrey), the daughter of Eve (Natasha Henstridge), is born, she develops into the most genetically perfect alien form yet! Seeking to repopulate Earth with her kind, this dangerously beautiful femme fatale heeds an overwhelming drive to mate...while a crack military team trails her in an attempt to end the war between the two species forever!

Species IV: When brilliant college professor Miranda Hollander suffers a mysterious blackout, and awakens amid the bloody aftermath of a mass slaughter, she turns to her uncle for answers. But when he reveals the shocking truth...that she's only half human, a clone from a hybrid of human and alien DNA, they must flee to Mexico to locate the scientist who created her. Soon they find themselves locked in battle with a horde of rampaging, unstoppable hybrids...and time is running out before Miranda will inevitably surrender to the killer instinct that lurks inside her own body!

not recomended for expectant mothers! Species one and two where superb with its plots of thrills and spills as well as OTT gore but with three and four it loses its sense of direction but this box set would make a welcome addition to fans of this sort of sci-fi that is enough to chill you to the bones!

it starts great but goes downhill

in 1995 a classic was released and was chillin to say the least you had it all horror gore action and a sexykiller alien, unfortunitly its starts going down from here when species 2 was released in 98 i couldnt wait too see it and was a pretty good film but didnt match the classic but well worth the watch. for number 3 this just looked like a tv series pilot with no major big stars the story continues with a cloned species but is very disappionting the best part for me was when it ends, i have'nt seen 4 yet but looks like it will be another let down my advice is get the first 2 but leave out 3 and 4. but this box is a true must for die hard species fans

now you can buy 4 dreadful films in 1 box set, excellent !.saw species at the cinema on its release.not bad but giving it to that well known(?)horror director roger donaldson was a mistake.2nd film was a mess in terms of plot, effects acting etc.3rd and 4th films just terrible and not even worth a 2nd look.makes avp look like classic science fiction cinema.
