Superhero Movie

Same old same old... Poor jokes.. Worse over acting.. Seriously rubbish film

I'd never even heard of the film until a few days ago and ... cuff me now officer ... watched it on the internet.

I think the problem with this movie [i dont know about other countries, but in England] is that it wasn't marketed much. As a Film student, well ... anyone would know ... that to become a success a film needs it's marketing!

This film EASILY beats any of the spoofs i have seen since Zucker's 'Scary Movie' all those years ago... The key to it's entertainment success is that it focuses heavily on one spoof and executes it well, all other parodies are subtle enough and not in your face like with the dreaded Epic Movie, Date Movie, Meet The Spartans and all the Scary Movies after numero 1.

This film deserves acknowledegment because it's just too good to go unseen... i hope the DVD recieves some good coverage in july for the release.

I used to be a huge fan of spoof movies, however there have been so many bad ones recently was unsure as whether to buy this or not, especially after the dreadful Meet the Spartans and Epic movie. This one however was much better than many of the others. The jokes are quick and to the point, they dont drag them out, and with the king of spoofs Leslie Nielsen helping, it just manages to pull it off. This film is basically a Spiderman spoof with little cross references to others, and as I have watched most Superhero movies I think I managed to spot all the jokes, some were actually quite subtle. Real rating probably 3.5 but raised it to 4 stars when I compare it to other recent efforts.

After watching newer dreadful spoof films, my expectations to Superhero Movie weren't exactly high, but what a turnaround!

Superhero Movie is one of the funniest films in many years. It is true David Zucker style, and will highly please fans of films like Airplane!, The Naked Gun and Spy Hard.

Sometimes I laughed so much, I had to stop the film to catch my breath. I recommend Superhero Movie at my highest!

I used to love spoof films(naked gun, hot shots, scary movie 1, etc.) and i used to laugh the whole why through them but they now have been getting worse and worse. this is no exception.

didnt make me laugh once, most of the jokes are predictable or old, the acting is poor. Leslie Nelson had a few good lines but nothing like the old Lt. Frank Drebin days.

Can't say I recommend this film but if your looking to kill some time and have got a laugh out of the more recent spoof films, you'll probably find something to like here. sadly i didn't.
