I feel this is the best animated film ever. The fight scenes are epic, the graphics are stunning and the detail in everything is brilliant.
Anyone who likes Star Wars should see this. A brilliant film.

Very good addition to Star Wars!

Despite some of the reviews here, I really liked this. I'm a big Star Wars fan and I find this movie does a great job at sticking to the Star Wars universe, its humour, its setting, its concept and its style. Some bits seem a bit childish but I guess this is aimed at a very wide audience - the real Star Wars movies also have these bits so I guess it's expected.

I really enjoyed watching this and am looking forward to starting to watch the series. It's definitely well worth watching and for the extremely low price, why wonder?
Just buy it and decide for yourself - it's really very good.

  Poor

After the new Star Wars trilogy, George Lucas brought out this, a 3D version of the short 2D cartoons released a few years back. However, with all the money he's made, would it have been so hard to make the characters look more realistic?
The stylised designs don't look good at all in 3D, and makes it look like the animators left the job half-done. The CGI characters look more wood-like than the puppets in Thunderbirds and the voice acting is even worse. The story is boring, new characters are half fleshed out and given no time to develop, and I couldn't help but think George Lucas didn't release this to be a new piece of cinematic art, but rather to increase his profits.
Star Wars fans should avoid this, it is both a waste of time and money but it will probably entertain children for a few hours

  A poor effort

Having only briefly heard of this animated version of Star Wars I approached this with caution. But when it comes to Star Wars you have to see it anyway. It took a while to get over the graphics used to create the world. When the characters moved they did so very clumsily. But the more I watched the more I got used to it and came to like the style. So the film should get plus points for that. But in regards to story, dialogue, voices used, and pretty much everything else this appeared to be a rushed together, 'hey I've got an idea' Star Wars spin-off. It could have been a lot better. I haven't seen the series yet, but hopefully the story lines used are better than this one. By the time you've been told the initial plot you know how it will end. Mr Lucas, could try harder and should do better!!

  ENJOYABLE

I used to wonder, whenever the clone wars were mentioned in the original episodes 4-6, what actually happened in the clone wars? With the creation of the clone wars series, now we know!

Here we see the creations of star wars at the zenith of all their abilities and supremacy. I like it!
The addition of new and likeable characters add to the enjoyment. We learn the true nature of the clone troopers as we see them before they become evil, so we recieve expanded intelligence in addition to what we learn in episodes 2 and 3.

Overall, i recomend the clone wars series to all star wars fans and enthusiasts, it is enjoyable and often gripping to see the full power of star wars, and i am not one to criticise Lucas trying to further his creation.

  Not Star Wars

George Lucas is a sell out. This is not star wars and is a complete joke.

This was the film before Annikan becomes Darth Vader, and there is maybe a total of about 10 seconds where Annikan has 'dark' moments. You'd think there would be more about it, considering the two sagas are set around the Skywalker family.

Even though I hate the fact that it's a cartoon, I wouldn't be so against it if it was good drawings. Why is Count Dooku's head shapped like a pickle jar?

I just hope Star Wars next film (if there is one) or TV series will be live action and have the original actors. :|

  EPISODE 2.5

Once you get over the fact that this is actually a CGI movie, and stop comparing it to the much loved movies, and keeping in mind that this is a flash pilot for the forth coming TV series, there is much to enjoy out of this movie. The CGI is good, and although getting used to the new look characters is a obsticle, but it is well detailed, but nothing that PIXAR should be worried about. Also the film features new voices trying to mimic the likes of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christenson, but a welcom return of the voice talents of Christopher Lee and Samuel L.Jackson do add class. The plot may be slight, with the abduction of Jabba's infant son, by Dukoo and the seperatist's to control the outer rim shipping lanes, and some of the characters names grate, Jabba's son's nickname "Stinky" being the worst offender, also some of the lighter jokey moments fall flat, But what really makes this movie work is the amazing action sequences, as the film is full of them. The pace of the film is never flagging, and although it really should have been a real life film, anybody who is eager to see the next installment of the space saga should enjoy every minute. Just don't compare it to the live action movies.
Good Fun!

This is'nt a bad star wars film to watch, the story is o.k, the actors try to fill in the best they can for the original actors and the animation is cool, its not the best star wars movie but can keep you entertained for a while.
