All the loveable characters are back - Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer), Gloria the Hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith), King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen), Maurice (Cedric the Entertainer) and the Penguins - in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Left marooned on the distant shores of Madagascar, the New yorkers have hatched a plan so crazy it might just work! With military precision, the penguins have repaired the old crashed plane - sort of! Once aloft, this unlikely crew stays airborne just enough to make it to the wildest place of all - the vast plains of Africa itself! Can the zoo-raised crew survive in the wilderness?

much funnier and more entertaining than the 1st madagascar, the penguins steal the show show for me,they are just hilarious. a much better storyline kept me more interested than the 1st installement, not as entertaining as bolt or monsters vs aliens but its a must see.

 A big thumbs up!

I LOVE this film! The penguins are hilarious, as are ,of course, the main characters Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria. The motley crew some how fashion an aeroplane in an attempt to return to New York City but instead end up just a few miles further from Madagascar, in the middle of an African game reserve, where Alex discovers his past and heritage, and the others find new things to keep them occupied. This sequel is just as good, if not better, than the first. And as per usual, King Julian of the Lemurs is so annoying you want to jump through the screen and shake him up a bit!!! Look out for some new (and old) characters too. Kids and adults alike will appreciate the effort put in from Dreamworks. I personally think this is one of their greatest achievements, second only to the Shrek saga. And a steal at just 3.99... Buy it!

 Fab!

I watched this with my family and friends and I was sat laughing hysterically! It is one of the funniest films ever made, and all ages will enjoy this... better watch the first 1 first though if you are a little confused. Great film people so grab it while you can!

This is a great sequal. I usually don't like sequals because there usually rubbish compared to the 1st. But this didn't disappoint me. King julian is the highlight of the film. Had me laughing more than the 1st. The story line wasn't as good but the humor made up for it. Worth buying.

Fabulous! Better than the first one:-)

We took my children to see this at the cinema before Christmas and they've done nothing but nag me to take them back to see it again! Wonderful film, extremely funny, excellent for kids and grown ups alike. Can't wait to get the DVD!!!
