From Roland Emmerich, director of Independance Day and The Day After Tomorrow comes 10,000 BC, a sweeping odyssey into a mythical age of prophesies and gods, when spirits rule the land and mighty mammoths shake the earth.
In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait) has found his heart's passion - the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). But when a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D'Leh leads a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her. As they venture into unknown lands for the first time, the group discovers there are civilizations beyond their own and that mankind's reach is far greater than they ever knew. At each encounter the group is joined by other tribes who have been attacked by the slave raiders, turning D'Leh's once-small band into an army.

In my opinion it is a very good film. The story is brilliant and the CGI is very well done. But if you are looking for a film about dinosaurs (like lycanboy) then go for something else because dinosaur and man did not co-exist. Other than that it is a very well thought and film and i recommend it.
Ok film

Ok so straight away let me tell you that the story and events in this film do not make any sense whatsoever in relation to historical events so do not watch this film expecting them to.
Now the action and CGI in this film are really good, but unfortunately there are quite a few sections of the film that are boring and drawn out and the story is pap.
If the film was about 15-20 minutes shorter then it would be a very enjoyable film that I would recommend a lot, even with the terrible story. The fact you can get so bored watching a film that is less than one hour and fourty five minutes long means that it cannot be a good film to be prefectly honest. As it stands this is just an average film with enjoyable action moments.
not what i was expecting

I was expecting alot from this movie.Plenty of action and alot more dinosaurs.Instead all you get is a tame version of Apocalypto. The movie is almost exactly the same but with a few cgi creatures thrown in and the acting is alot worse. The sabre tooth tiger only has a few minutes air time which is a shame as I was expecting it to play a large part in the movie. So if you are expecting dinosaurs and great fight scenes look elsewhere as you will be disappointed.
