From Roland Emmerich, director of Independance Day and The Day After Tomorrow comes 10,000 BC, a sweeping odyssey into a mythical age of prophesies and gods, when spirits rule the land and mighty mammoths shake the earth.
In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait) has found his heart's passion - the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). But when a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D'Leh leads a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her. As they venture into unknown lands for the first time, the group discovers there are civilizations beyond their own and that mankind's reach is far greater than they ever knew. At each encounter the group is joined by other tribes who have been attacked by the slave raiders, turning D'Leh's once-small band into an army.

I was expecting alot from this movie.Plenty of action and alot more dinosaurs.Instead all you get is a tame version of Apocalypto. The movie is almost exactly the same but with a few cgi creatures thrown in and the acting is alot worse. The sabre tooth tiger only has a few minutes air time which is a shame as I was expecting it to play a large part in the movie. So if you are expecting dinosaurs and great fight scenes look elsewhere as you will be disappointed.
Brilliant film for those who just love to Iwatch them

I thought this film was brilliant, but i am one of those people who watch films just for entertainment value and not to find faults or nit pick. Beautifully filmed with some amazing creatures (although they may not be in the right period, but who cares!? its a film). I would suggest that people not pay attention to reviews and watch for themselves.
Absolutely enjoyable.
Good Saturday matinee film

Absolutely the most silly film you will ever see, but having said that, as long as you take it all with a pinch of salt, it is actually great fun. The script is a bit weak, and it's all a little slow paced, but the acting and directing good enough. It's far better at home, where you can get up now and then for more refreshments! Overall it's a good Saturday matinee film and I can well imagine it being on the TV during the holidays for many years to come. I must admit, I wouldn't gamble, buing the more expensive tin version unless you have seen the film at the cinema and made sure you really like it first.
