I was nervous about buying this after Revolver... thought he may have lost it. However I was pleasantly surprised by this film. OK, it's not up to Lock Stock or Snatch quality, but not far off. Usual Ritchie fair, east end villains, dodgy dealings with some comedy and lots of side plots that eventually all fit together, but this worked pretty well. OK, the ending is a bit unexplained, but that's because it's set for a follow up which I am not sure about, but all in all not a bad movie.

Guy Ritchie is back on top of his game with this movie, an awesome caper with some great characters getting in very bad situations. The balance of comedy and violence is very well spread; the cast is great as usual, well worth a watch.

 It Rocks!!

After Revolver i thought guy ritchie had been spending too much time with madonna, as it was poo. But then you read they were having problems then this was released. I loved every minute of it. The comedy, the action, the story, the characters all roll in together to make a perfect gangster movie. Not as violent as other gangster films, but just as smooth, slick and dare i say it, cooler! Fantastic film

Watching Rocknrolla is like welcoming Guy Ritchie back to London once again. After the atrocious effort that was Revolver, he seems to have learnt from his mistakes and returns to form with London rudeboys, Russian gangsters, Crack-addicted rockers and some hungry crayfish.
The Wild Bunch are superb, made up of One-Two (Gerard Butler), Mumbles (the fantastic Idris Elba from The Wire) and Handsome Bob (Tom Hardy - from the upcoming Bronson).
The show-stealer would have to be Toby Kebbell as the drug-addled, intellectual (titular) Rocknrolla, Johnny Quid, whilst Mark Strong as faithful henchman Archie also manages to steal the spotlight.
Ritchie has truly returned to London's underworld, where it isn't out of place to see Bouncers attacked with a pencil, gangsters chatting about the feeding habits of crayfish and some freaky Russian mobsters about to get medieval on your ass!

 Well worth a watch!!
