not his best but surely a highly enjoyable movie with a lot of punch.
it's not that it's a very original movie like 'lock, stock &...' or even 'snatch', but it has all the ingredients: cool gangsters, cool talk, guns and cars and a highly adorable Thandie Newton....
good entertainment and if there'll be a sequel like 'the real rocknrolla' as mentioned at the end, i'll surely watch it.

I can't get enough of this film, watched it for the for time a few months back and must have watched it 5/6 times since and still does fail to entertain me. Tom Hardy and Gerard Butler make this film for me, a certain scene with the two of them always makes me laugh. If you haven't already seen it then you NEED to

I love this film. Its filled with comedy and very witty lines. The characters are rough yer completely loveable. Gerald Bulter and Toby Kebbell are amazing and hot in the film and Mark Strong does the amazing and famous archie slap. If the men dont like the women will

it may not be groundbreaking but it is great fun and different enough from ritchie's other movies to not be considered a 'carbon copy'.

Don't hurt me Archie, I'm only little....

I loved this film and I preferred it to all of Guys previous titles. I have watched it many times and it keeps getting better. The characters are great, the humour just right, plenty of eyecandy and the script is excellent and clever. I have suggested many people watch this, a few couldn't follow the storyline but hey (!).

The one-liners are excellent and the scene in the lift is hilarious. The soundtrack is cracking, I have also bought the cd now.

Toby Kebbel, Tom Hardy and Mark Strongs characters are my favourite and it is nice to see Gerard Butler in a role that suited him.

If Guy doesn't hurry up and make the sequel I am going to be very annoyed!

Best film I have seen in ages.

Great british gangsta movie, with hint of comedy in some parts, i would defiantly recommend this, not the best gangster film i have ever watched but with gerard butler in it who can complain! Good film worth watching

  Pretty Cool British Gangster Movie

Enjoyed this, movie nowhere near as good as Lock Stock or the Classic that is SNATCH.
The story was ok, not as thrilling or cool as it thinks it is.
The characters as usual make Guy Ritchies movies and the main Boys in this movie were Tom Wilkinson, Mark Strong and the guy playing the Rapper.
Gerard Butler was too smooth for my liking, it all seemed a bit too easy for him.
The locations used in London added a lot of atmosphere to proceedings.
Good watch by no means great.

a quality guy ritchie effort. for the people that loved snatch, lock stock and revolver this is just as good.

  Ritchie back to his best!

I was a bit dubious about Guy Ritchie's efforts, after "Revolver", but RocknRolla is Ritchie back to his Lock Stock best. The film provides a wealth of British actors (including the absolutely gorgeous Gerard Butler) and a handful of interlinking storylines which make it perhaps a little difficult to follow (hence 4 stars, not 5) but build up to a brilliant ending. A decent about of violence, humour, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll make it well worth a watch.
