WAZ (Extreme Sleeve)

I think it's a shame that this film has been dubbed "one of the most violent films ever made" as it does not live up to this title, nor does it need to.
Unlike many of the "gore fests" that rely purely on shock value, than an actual storyline or acting, that seem to be poruing out of hollywood these days, WAZ is an intelligent thriller (not horror) that will have you guessing til the very end.
If blood and guts is what you want, buy Story of Ricky, if you want a great thriller, buy WAZ!

(and by the way, all the gore is in the deleted scenes, if you need a fix at the end of the film!)

This is not as bad as the reviews below say it is. I don't know if it was advertised as being like SAW but i watched it not knowing what it was about at all. It describes itself as a horror, and i wouldn't say it was scary one bit, but i havn't cried as much as i did at a film in a long long time. There were a couple of cringey bits where i couldn't look at the screen but over all this was a good film. A good idea and as i said very sad, even my boyfriend admitted that it was sad! Not what i expected but not bad at all.

.Quite possibly one of the worst films i've ever seen(and i've seen some rubbish!).One of the worst crimes any horror film can commit is to be boring.It's slow moving,poorly acted(especially the two leads) and has a plot you could fit on the back of a stamp!.Poor old Mellissa george wanders around like a rabbit caught in the headlights and all Stellan skarsgard does is mumble incoherently and smoke himself to death.There's not even much blood and guts for the gorehounds.Thought it might be bloody ,but not bloody awful!!! Please avoid this turgid claptrap.

I thought id buy this seeing as it got a 4 out of 5 review.

With in the first 10 minutes i was like ok hmm its kinda alright after 45 mins i was getting bored 60 mins in to the film i turned it off Was close to falling asleep.

Ok when its gorey its gorey I had to look away a few times - but those scenes were few and far between and I LOVE horror but this left me sadly disapointed.

I didnt quite get the story - but im a fan of se7en which was a good film, Selma Blair was on top form as a bit of a insane looney, apart from that I cant really recomend this film.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars was cause of the gore (and lack there of) and Selma Blair - Bring on Hell boy 2 !

definitely not. i honestly don't understand why people are saying that, it's nowhere near as extreme as the saw series or any of the torture porn movies out there. i'd say the violence in this movie is more suggested to the viewer than shown on screen.
however, the deaths and torture scenes that are in the movie are exectued brilliantly, and the acting is so real at points it can be hard watching.
waz is more than just another horror movie, is has an intelligent plot and a credible cast which puts it above other movies of the same genre, and i'd definitely reccomend it!
