This is an odd film. Nick nolte is a bum who tries to commit suicide in the pool of a rich beverly hills family but one of the rich people save him and the family takes him in. Nolte has a profound effect on the very uptight family. He changes around all their views on him and on each other. Bette midler is very funny especially when nolte is saved and when he helps her relieve some stress. She goes from being a big prude to being a bit better at least. This has quite a few funny scenes and i recommend you buy this
