Producer Spielberg and director Dante, bring you one of the best christmas movies ever!
What makes this film so special is that at the core of this family film is a pitch black heart. Everything starts off as a family friendly movie until mean spirited Gremlins hatch, what follows is black comic brilliance, but with enough jumps to keep the kids hiding behind the sofa. For this film to be still a christmas season favourate after all this time is a testiment to how good the film is, and the puppet animation still stands the test of time.
Forget The Wizard Of Oz, this is the ultimate in festive fun.
But to still give this film a 15 certificate is crazy!

Everyone will really love this film!
Even though its old its great for children after all these years.
Im still a child myself (14years) and when my older brother bought this film for me when i was younger i've loved film and characters ever since.
From then on i've bought the Gizmo teddys , bobble head and the Spike bobble head as well.

Some films from the 80s date very badly and this isn't one of them. No major stars, although this is Spielberg, but nonetheless a fantastic film.

Reminds us that we don't need fancy CGI graphics, big stars, foul language and a massive budget to make a truly lasting film. It also reminds us of a time when Spielberg could make a blockbuster without getting too sentimental or obsessed with budget.

...Watch out for the hilarious cinema sequence with Snow white and the seven dwarves. 20 years on and I still love it!
