Vincent King (Sean Kanan) and his wife, Mary Shelley (Juliet Landau), are two deranged cinephiles who decide to create the ultimate homage to classic horror films by shooting a snuff movie. When a group of college students, led by the studious Emily (Danica McKellar), sails to the King's remote island to study the local wildlife, the homicidal couple inherit the perfect cast for their horrific project.

What's going on with the 1 stars guys! Of course this movie wasn't great, but I have to say it deserves more than a 1 star.

First of all, I think the twist alone was a very good addition. It comes out of nowhere and I would bet a lot of money on the fact that less than 1 in 10 people would have seen it coming.

The actors were not as bad as I thought they would be. I originally bought the film just because it was a cheap horror, and I'm actually glad I did. I enjoyed the characters that were created, diverse in many ways. You'll be shocked at the twist close to the end too.

Although it's a horror, and there's quite a lot of suspense built up from time to time, there are still funny parts to the film, intentional I'm guessing. The part where he jumps out the shadows inside the building had me laughing for a good 5 mins, and it also had me rewinding it 3 times. Very funny scene. I won't spoil it for you.

The main story is ok but nothing special. The two evil people running the place are obsessed with making movies, and I think they acted very well with this in mind. They copy scenes from other films too, which is quite humourous.

Overall I would give it a 2 star, because it's not a 1 star movie, it might even be a 3 but I will give it a 2 because there's many more better films out there. However, don't be put off by the ratings, go and check it out yourself. Just for the funny scene I mentioned it's worth the price it is right now.

Go get it!!

 Too much & not enough

Too much bad plot and film style, not enough of anything else. Mostly transparent.

The film landed unconfortably on the fence between a horror and a comedy. More unfortunately, it didn't fall either side of the fence at any point during the 85 minutes it lasted.

Some very bad technical film work during the light plot.

I would not recommend this film unless you pay very very little for it, as the artwork on the cover is the best part of the dvd.

 Dont Bother

I expected at least a decent story or even a laugh if it was that bad but it was neither.
Was looking forward to seeing Danica Mckellar and Juliet Landau in a bit more developed role to previous ones but they just went through the motions.
Didn't expect the "twist at the end but felt this anyway was a cheap get out clause.
