I first saw this film at a very young age, roughly about 5 or 6. I was on a caravan holiday near the beach and there was fog bank out towards sea (no joke). The film was on TV and I have to admit it did freak me out a bit (only cos there really was a fog that night).

If you have never seen this film BUY IT! An absolute classic and defo one of my favourites. Most of John Carpenters films are great so you won't be disappointed.

I used to own this film on VHS, now on DVD, next BLU-RAY! BUY BUY BUY!

First saw the fog age 13 or so at my local cinema in Bournemouth was a AA certificate but still managed to get in and boy was it a scarey ride and to top it off we came out to a nice thick sea fog. Ive never forgotten that and all these years still think of this movie as one of the best ghost stories and in my opinion one of John Carpenters best.

 Legendary...

I bought this last year just to add to my collection but having watched it again recently it comes across how well its made,Mr Carpenter is the master of making suspense in a film and he did it in this even all those years ago, look at Halloween and enjoy this one too....

 Atmosphere!!!!!!!

John Carpenter has directed some excellent horror films, but with this one, he managed to create a real sense of terror without resorting to extreme gore (which was the general rule with early 80s horror). I won't say anything else, to avoid spoiling it, but if your a true horror fan, then you should definitely see this. For best results, watch on a windy night, with the lights out!
