I found this one by chance on PLAY.COM and as i collect classic war movies i bought it on merit ,it has been described as a 'North African Saving Private Ryan' and in some respects it is,but,a classic in its own right,it shows the struggle the French Africans had to be accepted into the ranks of the Free French Army fighting to free their country from the Germans during WW2.Subtitled,it has some great battle scenes especialy the end wich is amazing and you can identify and sympathise with the characters all the way.The trailer on this DVD for another foreign war classic 'Assembly' made me order the DVD right away!But,if you love war movies the price of this DVD makes it a 'must have' in your collection.
