O.K.
Chris Roberts.. The Director of the highly acclaimed Wing Commander series of games, (or interactive movies as they were called for a while) including Wing Commander 3, the most expensive Video Game ever made and still holds that record.
The Movie Cutscenes were excellent!!! It appears Mr Roberts makes truelly Gripping short clips, but when it comes to putting a feature film together?? Try again..

Firstly, the Special effects for the most part are decent..
Some really Quality space battles and camera tricks.
However let down by dissapointingly poor adaptations of the Kilrathi from the games, Also, a couple of the space combat scenes suffer from dreadfull sound editing.

The actual storyline itself is a bit far fetched and unbelievable, some really bazaar things happen, and certain people turn out to be more than they appear with no real or apparent reason, (Guess ol chris just hoped no one would notice.)

Also, the Dialouge and Acting.
its decent, but ill use that term loosely.
Its hard to find something positive to say about it.
There are a couple of points in the film where Freddy prince jnr says a line, but uses the complete wrong tone of voice potrying the complete wrong feelings and attitude.. Such lines had a "pantomine" feel to them.
The sort of mistakes i would expect from a secondary school Drama class. i think they were down to bad directing though.

To anyone not familliar with the game series,
this film will be your average, no name, Direct to DVD/TV
Sci Fi flick.

If your a game buff, and expecting the same atmospheric, immersive, deep feeling and well written emotional roller coaster ride that was WC:III and WC:IV
Then your in for a bit of a dissapointment...

Overall Decidedly Average. with sloppy production.
