Having grown up on his music, and seen with horror how he disfigured himself with plastic sugery, before all the allergations, and the massive fall from grace leading to his untimely death before he could have one more attempt at reaching anywhere near the success he had in the 80's. Moonwalker is a brilliant reminder of what made Jackson the King of Pop. I bought the film when it was released on DVD a few years ago, just to prove to my daughter he was not a freak, by showing her the smooth criminal segment, it left her jaw on the floor. The film is a mess with no propper structure, but the first half is a blast as it captures Jacksons early years, leading to a strange second half where it tries to strap on a story of Jackson and some ever so sweet kids stumble across drug dealer Joe Pesci and his private army who wants to dominate the world with bugs and drugs. Pesci shouts alot, Jackson runs alot and turns into a Transformer! but what really impresses is the Smooth Criminal segment, this is amazing, with an extended cut of the song, this segment alone deserves you to buy this film.Capturing why Jackson was so great. Even the play out song of a cover of the Beatles Come Together is outstanding.
Sure the film is just a big Jackson advert, but to capture him at his peak is a sight to be seen, and only proves that Jackson was not just a megga star he was a Super Nover. One thing is for sure, is that the music word will never be the same.

Get this for the music videos alone

The story is only so and so and a little on the childish site. If you want to see Michael Jackson at the height of his abilities as a performer, however, do get this. Contains a live version of Man in the Mirror from the 1988 Bad Tour that is worth twice the price alone. Also features the super-long (and super cool) Smooth Criminal video and a (pseudo live) version of the Beatles cover Come Together. Recommended!
