It tells the story about Viktor (Tom Hanks), who's country suffers a coup while he is arriving to the US. For this reason, he has to stay at the airport, as he cannot get into the country. A great variety of situations happen to him while he lives in the airport: from really hilarious to really sad situations.

The movie is great, not only for the plot but for the acting. Hanks shows once again how talented he is, interpreting the lost Viktor in the huge airport. Personally, I think there's nothing to say against this movie: just perfect. I couldn't move from my seat from the start to the end.

So, if you're thinking of buying a comedy based on an original idea, I recommend you go for "The Terminal". Be sure you won't regret yourself.

Another Hanks movie and another riproaring success. Hanks and Spielberg once again come together a give us a feast in movie making as Hanks plays Viktor Navorski an eastern european who wanted to travel around New York but a war which has broken out in his homeland has ended up making him stay in the terminal in New Yorks JFK airport as he cant travel home nor can he enter the USA. Brilliant feel good drama with some very good supporting acting by Catherine Zeta Jones and Stanley Tucci. Enjoy

A true one of a kind film!

This film deserves all the praise it gets.
Originally I only saw the second-half of the film and enjoyed it.
Upon buying the film and watching it all... I was amazed! The film is incredible and we really get attached/connected with Tom Hank's character - especially in one of the really emotional scenes at the start - No film touched my heart quite like this one!

The bonus features are pretty impressive. Not to mention showing how they built the film set (Yup, that entire airport in the film is one huge set!)

The film and a bonus DVD for 5 pounds? I honestly think it's worth double that for what you get! Worth every penny, second and moment and definitely a film to have for any occasion.

  Hanks perfection

What a truly delightful film with great characters and a very funny storyline, played out well by all. Very unusual but that what makes it so good. Definate 5 stars.

Another brilliant film with the hilarious Tom Hanks that will be watched more than once and enjoyed by all!!
Picked up my copy for just £4.99 a bit back after i had happened to see a small part at a friends and i really enjoyed watching the whole film that had me in fits of laughter as Hanks plays Viktor the Russian who ends up stuck in the terminal of JFK airport in New York!!
All Viktor wants is to leave to go and explore America but if he does he will be arrested by the airport security as he has no visa to enter the U.s!! What follows is his long wait in which he makes a lot of friends and learns more about the country that he so wants to be in!!!

  Great film!

I've wanted to see this for ages, so I was so glad when it came on TV! Tom Hanks plays a Krakoshian man who has come to New York to find someone for his father. While he was in flight, Krakoshia entered into a coup and war, thus making his country unrecognised by the US government. His passport is invalid and he cannot obtain a visa without a valid passport, so he is forced to live in the airport for 9 months. The story is heartwarming and funny. The cast is great and Tom Hanks delivers again with his acting. I really enjoyed it- the only reason for 4 stars is that it was a tad too long, but definitely worth watching!
