This is my third volume in the collection but having not seen Vol.3 yet, was a test of each volumes ability to stand on its own two feet/six legs!
Good news is, it does! - This volume has a wide varity of themes all of which are in 'stand alone' episodes. The first is gun play intensive and has shades of John Woo in there, whilst the Tatchikoma Philosphical debate episode is totally un-expected and suffers from those horrible voices! However, its a brave direction and just adds variety to what could easily have become a 'follow the formula' approach over 24 episodes.
My 3 volumes have already proved that will not be the case.
