Reasons to watch this: De Niro playing against type (for once) as a timid, police detective who saves the life of local mobster, Bill Murray (very scary but funny) and David Caruso as Bob's partner. Uma Thurman is nice eye candy, but this film is well-handled and has some subtle moments, thanks to some terrific acting. Shivers & Milk, anyone?
