Just like the great Disney films from 40/50 years ago, Nightmare Before Christmas will go down as a classic piece of fantasy animation. You could say that this 1993 stop-motion film already looked it's age when it first came out, but that's it's hidden charm - it can't be dated.
With a simple, but nonetheless clever story, intertwined with song and dance numbers and backed up with a wonderful soundtrack, Jack Skellington of Halloween Town takes us on a trip to Christmas Town to 'take over Santa's role'. Along the way we meet the most amazing and bizarre characters, some with, and some without Christmas cheer. But all giving us plenty of fun, laughs and that annoying habit of singing the songs days later!!!
It's Christmas Eve, it's cold and dark outside, you got a glass of mulled wine, the tree lights are glowing, and your in watching this...perfect. And you don't even need the kids.

Although not being directed by Tim Burton himself this film is the one that reflects his style the most, it is full of gothic romance, mild horror, comedy, tuneful songs and plenty of breathtaking sets.
This is a good film that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and can be watched all year round.
