Trigun is a popular anime series which stars an outlaw called Vash the Stampede. He is so feared that a $$60 billion reward has been posted for his capture. Set on a desert planet the show has a western feel to it with a light twist of science fiction. It's worth checking out if you enjoy action animes with humour.

Tales warn that where ever Vash goes death and destruction follow. In this volume Milly and Meryl, two insurance agents, attempt to track down the legendary gunman with the hopes of reducing the damage which Vash is known to cause. When they find Vash they are however surprised to discover that the real Vash appears to be clumsy buffoon who has an unlucky habit of stumbling into trouble.

The four episodes contained in the first volume have Vash fleeing from bounty hunters, acting as a bodyguard, helping out a gunsmith and getting involved with a hostage situation at a local saloon. Although it takes a while for the story to develop, these opening episodes act as a good light hearted introduction to the series.
