8 Strangers, 8 Points of view... 1 Truth.

Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are two Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt) at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Spain, chaos ensues and disparate lives collide. In the crowd is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an American tourist videotaping the historic event to show his kids when he returns home. Also there is Rex (Sigourney Weaver), an American TV news producer who is reporting on the conference. It's only as we follow each person's perspective of the same 15 minutes prior to and immediately after the shooting that the terrifying truth behind the assassination attempt is revealed.

You'll be at a 'disadvantage' if you miss this thriller!

Lets be honest, there isn't much new here. The idea of repeating the same time scale through a different perspective may bring back flashbacks (no pun intended) of films like Momentum perhaps. But none of that detracts from the fact that this is a highly watchable and enjoyable thriller from Director Pete Travis.

The film is based (as the discription above says) around the same 15 minute sequence of events revolving around the assassination of the US President during summit talks in Spain. However, as the film pans out, as you view each sequence through each of the 8 witnesses perspectives, the plot and twists start to unfold with heart-pumping aplomb.

With a star studded cast such as Dennis Quaid (Day After Tomorrow, Frequency), Matthew Fox (Lost), Forrest Whittaker (Last King Of Scotland, Species), Sigourney Weaver (Aliens, Ghostbusters) and William Hurt, I found this too good to miss.

Attracted by the TV advert, I took the other half to the cinema to see it and we were'nt disappointed. Somehow I thought you would become tired of seeing the same time frame over and over but to be honest, you dont. It's compulsive viewing that will have you on the edge of your seat and scratching your head at the same time over all the twists thrown in to keep you interested.

It's good. Not quite 5 star quality but, devoid of a few glitches, it is a worthy addition to most peoples DVD collection who are fans of the action / thriller genre. Enjoy!

 Clever enough.

This film has been slammed by many for its 24 style storytelling, however I feel it works well as it shows the same incident a few times with a cliffhanger at the end of each leaving you wondering what exactly will happen next, then when the final story comes the film is neatly tied together when all the loose ends meet. This film is worth a watch as it does provide some good action scenes especially the car chase.

 Worth Seeing

This 24 style film is not for the impatient. Watching the same terrorist attack from several points of view will have many getting very annoyed as the film rewinds to show another persons view.

But on the whole it is gripping and will keep you guessing. Great little car chase and some good performances.

 Just about a Good movie

Enjoyable, and well made but a little to tidy towards the end tho. Same thing from diffrent points of view was annoying initially, but u get use to it. Well acted by Dennis Quaid. Car Chase's with all those people on the pavement, looked well scary. Worth a watch.

 I loved it!!!

Ok firstly, i don't understand the 'B Movie' spin it has been given. It has big names, a big script, interesting ideas and is full of twists and action packed scenes! This movie was strange in terms of structure as i have never seen a movie that has so many different view points from people at the same event. It was very cleverly done and i thought THIS WAS 2.99!?! - WHAT A BARGAIN!!!
I only had two problems with this DVD, these were:
1st. The guy from lost speaks terrible spanish lol
2nd. The digital copy does not work. the content expired back in 2009 so if you plan to use the digital copy, YOU CANT!!!
definitely worth 8/9 quid and would give it equivalent stars in terms of greatness. I cannot see why this movie did not make the big time!
LOVED IT! BUY IT!!!
