Janis Joplin (1943 - 1970) is the voice of Flower Power. She is an idol of a whole generation because of her short and intransigent life. Janis Joplin was born 1943 in a conservative surrounding, her musical breakthrough was at the legendary Monterey Rock festival 1967. Her "dynamite voice" gets under the skin.
