Not sure how much I can say about this witout giving the game away... however,
I have seen this movie myself an can say that it fits roughly in just after Ichigo has achieved his next level of resolve but has not gone much further fight wise from there, lets will assume that we have just finished with the story arch within soul society more or less, so about episodes 60-70ish,
If your following the Viz media releases, Their being moderately good in bringing in this movie into roughly where it should be chronologically.
For it's price you can't argue, this is a worthwhile purchase providing your an avid follower of the series, The story is typical Bleach, Centring around Ichigo an his typical pre-pubescent bluntness in regarding the much Much bigger world he has stepped into with he advent of his awakening power,
Bringing with him the familiar faces of the established cast, The films finale will tug at your heart strings as it taps upon the life beyond what we know, an show us that no society is perfect,.... or fair, not even the soul society.
Filler is a dirty word among anime fans especially in regards to long running series such as Naruto, Bleach & One Piece. A filler usually occurs when the anime series runs dangerously close to the manga and instead of placing the series on hiatus while the artist catches up, a filler episode is put in place. A short and simple story to keep people happy however it doesn't help that most of them are rubbish. I often read better fanfics than some filler episodes.
Bleach: Memories of Nobody is one of these filler episodes apparently good enough to make it into a stand alone movie. The character of the day this time is a soul reaper named Senna who appears out of no where and starts destroying these white things with red hats which comes pretty close to the dub script in terms of explanation, speaking of which everything is explained by Urahara in which Senna is the key to merging and destroying the worlds of the living and the Soul Society. The enemies are very low key and don't really deliver any memorable performances equally the Soul Reapers don't do much but show off their attacks and leave the rest to Ichigo which pretty much happens a lot in more recent Bleach episodes. But I won't write off this film as bad as it's saved by the filler character Senna.
I've never known a filler character actually being interesting to watch and compared to the other females in Bleach is a million times more appealing. Senna is actually believable from when she acts normally to the point where she struggles to come to terms with her mixed up memories; her background story actually makes a lot of sense which in a show with as many terms as swords deserves credit but it does however lead me to a comment I used in my Sonic Chronicles review.
Now I don't know how much influence Tite Kubo had in making this movie but I start to worry when an anime filler is better than the actual manga much in the same way I worry about the fact that Bioware could write a better Sonic storyline than SonicTeam
Not sure why some people have to put to much thought into anime but its an ok movie i wouldnt say it is the best one outa the four that are currently out when i wrote this but i would recomend watching and it is at a very good price...
Being a hugely popular anime, this is the perfect feature length film yo kick-start the oncoming films from Bleach. This film is truly captivating and seeks to explore Ichigo's world and the other spell bounding mystical character's captured in typical anime style that has greater effects and more epic moments than some of the original Bleach episodes, for a fan? 5 stars easily and highly recommended.
Great Movie, all the characters are loyal to the series, the voices are too and the baddies are so cool.
The story is original and the action is very very good indeed.
if this is going to be the same as the R1 version with the bonus disc, then there is a really nice documentary to watch with an insight to how they do things at Viz Media....enjoy, this will not dissapoint!
