An avalanche of meteorites over a remote Australian fishing village results in an onslaught of the flesh-crazed undead. Prepare yourself!

A fun-filled sci-fi/horror tale featuring legions of the living dead, zombie fish, flesh-dissolving acid rain, alien abduction and the blackest humour, 'Undead' is a crowd pleasing splatterfest in the bloody tradition of the early works of 'Bad Taste' Peter Jackson and 'Evil Dead' Sam Raimi

This remarkable debut feature was written, produced and directed by twin brothers Michael and Peter Spierig.

An enjoyably silly, low-budget genre hybrid...

What starts out as a typical, low-budget zombie movie with its tongue firmly in its cheek (zombie fish anyone?) morphs into an all more complicated beast over the course of its runtime ending up as much a sci-fi movie as a run of the mill horror. The special effects, though at times rather shaky, are quite amazing given the technology on offer (the FX were all rendered on the guys home computers) and the whole film was funded solely by the directors friends and family. Reminiscent at times to the early work of Peter Jackson (esp. Bad Taste and Braindead) 'Undead' is a suprisingly original entry into the genre and proves that you don't always need Hollywood's big bucks behind you. Considering the size of the production Anchor Bay have (as usual) provided us with a neat little extras package for a film that genre lovers everywhere should get a kick out of...

 Zombies down under

OK its australian with strueth and pop another shrimp on the barbie humour. I watched this film expecting the worst but I got good Zombies mixed with humour and I am still wondering where he was hiding his guns ( see Film). This film is not for every one but if you like to stray of the blockbuster path now again you will find it good fun and value as it costs less than a pint.

I thought this film might have been good so i bought it in good intentions, but it is whack. I hate neighbours and this is basically neighbours with some blood added in and a few guns. It aint funny and it aint good. Do not buy.

This film is great, A funny Australian take on what would happen if zombies attacked them. Very funny and entertaining Worth a buy. Not many funny zombie films but this up there with the rest of them.
