When cartoonist Tim Avery's (Jamie Kennedy) new son is born with the Mask's spectacular powers, to the dismay of the family's jealous dog, it turns the household upside down and launches a kid versus canine battle for control of the Mask. Son of the mask...what a film!! Not!! I found it to be boring, tedious, repetetive and an insult to the original 'The Mask' starring Jim Carey. Zodio1, Im sorry to say is wrong, for it was in fact 'that bad' and should not be one star...What a shame you cant give a lower rating...Half a star in my opion, just because they did actually make a film....

Son of the mask is not as good as the original mask but it is a good family film. There are some very funny parts during the film when the baby (son of the mask) is driving his father crazy by morphing and bouncing off the walls. It is very well acted by Alan Cumming. some of the computer generated scenes look a little dodgy (when the baby and Loki play twister) but how else is the film supposed to show a superpowered baby doing whatever a superpowered baby would do?
