Avril Lavigne: The Best Damn Tour - Live In Toronto

I love Avril's Best Dam thing album, its upbeat, full of energy and really gets me going. So i waited a long time for this DVD to be released after having watched her first DVD release which was awesome. By comparison this was a bit dissapointing. Don't get me wrong, she was as equally good live but for some reason the tour promoted her as a pop artist with those silly background dancers. Avril, you don't need them! You and your band are better of being the rock/indie performers you were back with your first DVD release. Other than this, its a good set list and you get to see Avril on the piano and drums so theres no doubting her talent. My fav song on the best dam thing is "Hot" so i was really, reallly dissapointed to hear a slowish acoustic version of it which really killed the song for what it is. I would still recommed buying it as she does put on a good performance worthy of her talent. Theres no extras so you might be dissapointed.

Quite simply this is a great concert from a great artist. All the hits are there and Avril once again proves she can perform brilliantly live.

The only downside is that at a running time of an hour and a quarter it is simply over too quickly! However, it is such a good concert it will be one DVD you will want to watch over and over again!

I love this DVD, the music is great and she can sure sing live! I love all of the performances. The routines and songs are second-to-none! The bad things are that the breaks (where she constantly changes) are rather long and I get fed up with waiting for the next song! But other than that, it's worth buying :)

This DVD is well worth the money! I thought the My World DVD was very good (and is!) but this live gig from Toronto had me jumping around the living room hugging my beer can. I agree with lestafox's opinion regarding the dancers. They are awful but thankfully, they only feature on some of the tracks. By the way, the actual sound is fantastic, I was having to turn it down a bit in the beginning. Noo!!!

Well i thought her vocals were great but she was lacking in something. I really do like the let go avril. I was switchin off half way through. Everytime she plays on piano or drums i find she struggles to sing, i dont know if anyone sees tht? I think she is a great performer and everything but the best damn thing has really disappointed me. I wish she just stuck to her first ablum sound. I dont really like the fakish look too, its like she tries to hard, i mean when shes on the dvd. X
