This box set features the entire first series of the classic British Television drama, Inspector Morse.

Episodes comprise:

1. The Dead of Jericho: Morse, who never quite finds romance, thinks that at last things will turn out differently when he meets beautiful Anne Stavely (Gemma Jones). But it is a love destined not to be when Anne is found hanging from a beam in mysterious circumstances. Morse suspects murder and sets out to discover the truth. Joining him is Sergeant Lewis (Kevin Whately) and their investigation into The Dead of Jericho is the beginning of a lasting partnership.

2. The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn: the super sleuth called in to investigate one of the most puzzling murder cases yet. Someone is selling examination secrets at Oxford and making a killing in more ways than one. Nicholas Quinn is a hard of hearing member of the examinations board - until one day he is found dead at home. Can Morse match up the clues with the killer?

3. Service of All the Dead: A church warden is found dead in his vestry and Inspector Morse is put on the case but before long he has five murders to solve...

I remember watching the very 1st 2 episodes when they came out on TV... I was hooked. A perfect blend of actors, and production team bring's Colin Dextors books to life. John Thaw an absolute screen legend, is teamed up with Kevin Whately a future legend himself, makes us enjoy this wonderful drama. A brilliant Drama to remember John Thaw.
