This i a superb film and i think is the best or one of the best of the 80's. Ferris Bueller is a 17 year old charming boy who seems to get away with everything and anything, one day when he fakes a day off school to have the day of his life things just seem to get better for Ferris. Everybody like Ferris and always come to him to get out of school or trouble. He has not got a car of his own but his friend Cameron has got a 1961 Ferrari in his garage that his dad has been restoring for many years. With his plan setup and mum and dad sweetened up will Ferris get away with this one?
LIFE MOVES PRETTY FAST!

This has to be the best of the John Hughes teen comedies of the mid 80's. It's a film that has grown to massive cult status over the years, and is a true teen classic, that never has to revert to goss out gags to get the laughs. This is a testiment of the well written and observed characters. The film will resonate more with us now in our mid 30's as the film hit a bulls eye on it's release way back in 1986 due to the fact that we were roughly the same age of the characters, and could understand in what the adults thought were important, to actually what was important to us at the time.
This is a brilliantly re-watchable film, that has not dated in it's perspective, sharply written, excellently acted, and superbly observed.
A retro 80's classic, of a more simple time.

I thought the acting at first was a bit on the rubbish side, but the he talked about it being his worst performance so far but his parents still went for it.
But then throughout the film the acting didn't improve even when he was being serious and was trying to act correctly.
I would never do what he did if I ever bunked school, so it makes it interesting, and you really can't wait to see what he does next.
I suppose it is quite funny in places, but I don't think it would pass for a comedy.
This is the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the ultimate 80's teen movie. I grew up on it like so many, and still know all the words. It is a true classic, a must have. The plot, the script - it is so choice! You have to see and own this film- it is the law!
1980's lighthearted classic

Ok so i'm not going to claim that Ferris Bueller's day off is one of the all time greats but it harks back to a yesterday year very well - those high school days where the World was your oyster - and reminds us all we should all still be having fun more than once in a while. A classic brat pack 80's comedy this is watchable by all.
