So much has now been said about the turbulent life and phenomenal career of Michael Jackson that it has become almost impossible to disentangle the man from the myth.

Perhaps more than any other icon in history of popular music, Michael Jackson remains a charismatic but elusive figure of heated debate. But one fact will forever remain undisputed... his extraordinary talent for creating truly original music, loved by millions. And despite setbacks that would have ended careers of lesser men, Michael Jackson's legions of fans remain as loyal today as they have ever been and his accomplishments as the King of Pop during the 1980's will always remain some of the most impressive in music history.

Featuring candid contributions from Janet Jackson, Brook Shields, Gladys Knight and from the King of Pop himself. Plus rare behind the scenes footage, this documentary dares look into the life of one of the most enigmatic and flamboyant pop stars of our time.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy this DVD. It is a bootleg effort and has someone else singing Michael Jackson's songs throughout - absolutely shocking. Would suit more as a joke gift it is THAT bad.

 Food for thought

I good dvd that gives and even and rounded view of michael jackson. I suppose that some people might want a more scandalous programme than this. But in my opinion, it hits just the right spot in the wake of his tragic death.

 I enjoyed it

I have to say that I also really enjoyed this DVD. It is very balanced and has some nice video.

I actually thought that this was a pretty good DVD.

I should point out from the beginning that this is not a music dvd. It's a Michael Jackson Biography. As such it focuses more on him and less on the music.

Having said that, there is a lot of footage of him in here. The really good stuff is of him and his brothers when they were younger.

There are some interviews with close friends that feature as well.

Ultimately, this is a sympathetic look at Michael Jackson, which is very refreshing when you see so many people out there slamming him. This takes a moment to look at both sides of the various oddities in mj's life.

I would have liked to hear more original music, but really the importnant stuff is the content and there is a surprising amount here.

 Cashing in on MJ's death!

A cheaply made DVD which is not worth £8. Has no original MJ music as they couldnt afford the licencing I suspect and the narrator sounds like he should be reading a kids audio book! They get a lot of dates wrong which is a mistake I cannot understand! The celebrity interviews they talk about are from the 80s, nothing new or fresh in this DVD about MJ, not worth it! Just another example of people cashing in on his death! We need something like The Legend Continues brought out on DVD!
