One of the best films I've seen in a long time

I'd heard a lot of buzz about this film from it's festival circuit, and I'm really glad it finally sees it's UK release as it's one of the best films I've seen in a long time.

When a down-on-his-luck salesman receives a phone call, the mysterious caller offers him the chance to win a lot of cash by completing 13 tasks. The first task is simple, swat a fly with a newspaper and when the salesman does this, he receives another call informing him that cash has been paid into his account. He checks and it's true, so he then decides to 'play the game' and move on the next task - eat the fly he just killed..

From here on in the film kicks off with a frantic pace as our hero has to complete 11 more taks to win the grand total of $100 million, but the taks get progressively harder, leading to some very heavy decisions and actions..

With a sequel now just announced (and a US remake in the works), now is the time to check out this film, and I guarantee you won't regret it. In the same vein as other films such as The Game with Michael Douglas, 13: Game of Death is fast-paced, packed with action, darkly funny, highly original and features a shocking ending that you won't see coming. I cannot recommend this film enough - buy now!

 Must See Movie

Thai cinema is alive and kicking and living my lounge,so why are Thai films so often over looked,We had TEARS of the Black Tiger,Shutter and now 13 Game of Death.
If you enjoy black comedy with some real laugh out moments to pure gore and stomach churning moments (check out the restuarant scene) this film is for you.
Good leading man a film which you have to watch to the unexpected end and for 2.99 why even bother renting.
Just buy watch (some times between your fingers) and enjoy

How far would you go for 10000 baht?

I liked it. I think its definately got to be worth a watch. If you are curious about this film and you are reading the reviews then just buy it, if its on play for 3quid and its not sold out then put it in your basket!
And if America do decide to remake it, it is best to watch it now before it gets ruined.
I would do alot of crazy things for alot of money but there's no way you'd catch me eating dirty horrible things... If it were me i would have been out of the game way before the end!
This film is very good, its funny in parts, you've got shocks, a bit of gore, lots of suspense and best of all it has'nt been done before.
The only way i can describe it right now is that its a cross between 'Who wants to be a millionaire' and 'Falling down' with some 'Saw' thrown in as a special ingredient. It kept my attention and i was hooked from start to finish.
Do enjoy!

A lot of fun to watch!

Funny, twisted, violent, sick, and just 100% bonkers, 13: Game of Death is well worth the price. It's so wrong, yet so good, and while the ending didn't click with me as well as the reviewers below, the film overall is brilliant! I can't stress how bonkers it is, though: I mean, there's one part where I had to watch through my fingers due to how gross it gets, and then there are parts played for pure slapstick that are really, really funny. Think SAW, only, ya know, good. Saw meets Fear Factor, actually, that'd be about right!

 Fantastic

A very creative film which i rated highly and then after the ending - it turned into one of my favourite films ever. A Very clever film
