Internationally famous oceanographer Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) and his crew -- Team Zissou -- set sail on an expedition to hunt down the mysterious, elusive, possibly non-existant Jaguar Shark that killed Zissou's partner during the documentary filming of their latest adventure. They are joined on their voyage by a young airline co-pilot who may or may not be Zissou's son (Owen Wilson), a beautiful journalist (Cate Blanchett) assigned to write a profile of Zissou, and Zissou's estranged wife and co-producer, Eleanor (Anjelica Huston). They face overwhelming complications including pirates, kidnapping, and bankruptcy.

 Quirky Fun

This film is soo good, it is very quirky and strange. You will watch this film and love it but will just be not sure why. I really enjoy the music as it sound like strange midi music. Its a little slow to get started but once you get into it you will start to love the surreal acting.

 Not my idea of funny

In the extras, Bill Murray comes across as a great and amusing guy. In the few films I've seen of his, I always get fed up and switch off or leave. With this one, I forced myself to watch the whole film.

His humour appears to be either very silly or with a nasty edge to it. I suppose we shall just have to agree to disagree on what is funny.

A brilliant film; very subtle humour, a very quirky but fun script, and many loveable performances from the terrific cast. Definately one to watch if you're looking for something out of the ordinary!

 Just Brilliant

I saw this at the cinema the other week and I thought it was brilliant. A nice a blend of madness and seriousness at the same time. It's quirky and fun. Just a great film.
