     ANOTHER CARREY MASTERPIECE !

The plot, the storyline, the set and visual effects all go to make this film a truly spectacular piece of screen entertainment for the whole family. However many stars you would like to rate this film could quite easily be multiplied ten-fold purely down to the film's leader star, one of today truly modern day comedy genius Jim Carrey. His many appearances as a forever growing number cunning characters each time in a even more spectacular costumes really does make the film a truly wonderful delight to watch! The 2 disc Special Edition contains a mind- blowing array of special features, which really make the entertainment value much more appealing. A must see, miss at your peril!!!

     imaginative, moving and utterly entertaining!

As a stranger to the books i decided i wanted to watch the movie first, and i was absolutely astonished at how amazing it was. The sets, props, cast and special effects were just fantastic. The movie follows the journey of the baudelaire orphans, violet, klaus and sunny. They encounter a greedy relative, leeches, hook handed villians and all forms of peril. Jim carrey is wonderful as Olaf, as is billy connely as uncle monty, but the best is meryl streep as the strange aunt josephine. I cannot stress how amazing this movie is, buy watch and just adore it, the ending is also very moving and the soundtrack is very inspiring and well scored aslo.

     Modern magic

This film is of mixed feelings. Jim Carrey is obviously excellent as always in many roles he played here, but the setting is abit confusing. At times it looks like 19th century and later 20th century. Decide for yourself, but not bad for children ciewing. As for adults abit annoying and slow at times. Also, look out for Meryl Streep.!
