It's a western! It's a caper film! It's martial arts action! It's a farce! It is, in fact, 'Millionaire's Express' with Hong Kong stalwart Sammo Hung in front and behind the camera!
The Shanghai Express, loaded with the rich and famous, is scheduled to come through town on its maiden voyage. Having recently returned to his hometown and set up business, Ching Fong-Tin (Sammo Hung) plans to derail the train by blowing up the tracks and thereby entice the stranded passengers to spend their money in town and in his dubious establishment. So far, so good....
The problem is, a gang of thieves is aboard the train, and a gang of Japanese mercenaries is after a map of valuable terracotta figures from a temple. Toss into this explosive mix a pair of jailbirds who hope to be freed by letting the train run over their shackles and an man and woman dressed inexplicably in 19th-century U.S. Cavalry outfits and you have one of Hong Kong's funniest (and definitely the oddest) ever action-comedies!

Sammo Hung does it again! Wacky characters and stunning action sequences combine to bring one hell of a film. Combining western elements with eastern, this film has to be seen to be believed.
A mixture of martial arts, lunatic stunts and keystone cops style madness ensures that this film is 100% entertainment and that despite the certificate is perfectly suited to all ages.
