As a fan of Russell T Davies other work, I was pretty sure I would enjoy this and I was'nt disappointed. David Tennant is great in the title role and is supported by an equally great cast, which includes Peter O'Toole and Laura Fraser as his love interest Henriette.
A fantastic drama with some funny and heartbreaking moments.
Russell T Davies made a wise choice in portraying David Tennant as the young Casanova; he brings to it a boyish, youthful exuberance which is totally and realistically credible. Peter O'Toole's performance was magnificent. Over the years he has matured like a good whiskey and long may we savour his talents.
A very good piece of work by Russell T. Davies a bit rude in some places but overall a very good DVD
seen this a few years back on tv,
one of David Tennants finest pieces of work in my opinion,
good storyline,
some good humour,
all you're looking for in this type of film !
