Sister, sister, oh so fair, why is there blood all over your hair?

The film that paired two of the greatest screen-actresses not only lived up to its promise, but provided years of Hollywood gossip at the expense of the two warring stars!

Baby Jane (Davis) was a child star. When she grows up she is forgotten by the public. Instead her sister Blanche (Crawford) becomes famous as a Hollywood actress, overshadowing her sister who is increasingly bitter. After a mysterious car accident cripples her, Blanche is left wheelchair-bound at the mercy of her vengeful sibling...

A cultish horror favourite, 1962's What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? will forever make you think twice before hungrily unveiling a covered plate of food!
  • Audio commentary by author/film historian Charles Busch and film historian John Epperson
  • 'Bette and Joan - Blind Ambition': an all-new documentary
  • Joan Crawford: a film profile
  • 'All About Bette': a biographical profile hosted by Jodie Foster
  • Excerpt from 'The Andy Williams Show' featuring Bette Davis ' 'Behind The Scenes With Baby Jane' vintage featurette
  • Theatrical trailer

If you are a fan of the horror genre or psychological dramas you'll like this. Joan Crawford and Bette Davis are immensely watchable as they chew up the scenery. It's nearly 50 years old but holds up well. The Special Features are interesting too. Jodie Foster presents the Bette Davis one and there's a lot of interesting interview clips. Well worth getting. I didn't feel the 2 hours pass at all!

I watched this not long ago as i got it for my mum so i thought i might aswell watch it, thinking that it would be boring as its an old movie, but to my surprise i really enjoyed this movie. The acting is great, the setting the script, everything.
I highly recommend :D

Bette Davis is brilliant in this classic 1962 movie. She has the perfect look for the part she plays with my other all time favourite actress Joan Crawford. The movie is tense scary & full of sibling envy as Bette feels outstaged by her sister Joan.Sends shivers down my spine every time I watch it!

 Fabulous

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

The two greatest women of their time - Bette Davis and Joan Crawford together make this a truly brilliant film. They hated each other in real life and it comes across in the movie. The acting is fabulous and the story line is great. Two sisters - Jane (Baby Jane) played by Bette Davis and Blance Hudson played by Joan Crawford go head on in sibling rivalry. A total classic. I enjoyed it from start to finish.
