This is a remake of the 1962 version with Chuck Connors and although 30 years apart are both excellent!
Made in 1992 by Walter Hill it tells the tale of the great Apache Leader, Geronimo, and his people's brutal struggle with the Military taking their land and lives!
The filming is brilliant showing the Great West Landscapes as you always expect in a good western, and you do feel as though it's really 1883 and the actors are fantastic, giving great feeling to their roles!

a superberb western made by the great walter hill wonderfull photography and landscapes,a great performance by jason patric as a sympathetic cavalry officer and almost film stealing performance by robert duvall as a grizzeld army scout ,wes studi plays a great geronimo.the film tells the story of geronimo and the plight of the apache nation told truthfully and and sympa thetically .often brutal in places but for a purpose, full of charachters that could have walked out of a peckinpah film. all round a top western with indians and a great story of the west told with a true and sympathetic view of the apache nation,plenty of action and well directed set pieces .
