Stomping, whomping, stealing, singing, tap-dancing, violating. Derby-topped teddy-boy hooligan Alex has his own way of having a good time. He has it at the tragic expense of others.
Alex's journey from amoral punk to brainwashed proper citizen forms the dynamic arc of Stanley Kubrick's future-shock vision of Anthony Burgess' novel. Unforgettable images startling musical counterpoints, the fascinating language used by Alex and his pals - Kubrick shapes them into a shattering whole. Hugely controversial when first released, A Clockwork Orange won the New York Film Critics Best Picture and Director honors and earned four Academy Award nominations, including best picture. The power of its art is such that it still entices, shocks and holds us in its grasp.

A bit over rated It wasn't really a masterpiece to me watching women being rapped but I can see why it a Cult the way the Gang dress and why the gang and Alex Speak I found it Interesting It had a Beethoven background music and the film being a Violent movie but when added together very good
After watching this movie I admit I was disturbed but I didn't find it as shocking as it's been made out to be. It hasn't aged well but it's more relevant today then ever. This is a masterpiece from one of the greatest directors of all time Stanley Kubrick, it was him who asked for the movie to be banned in the UK after receiving death threats.
Malcom MacDowells performace as Alex as is one of the finest of all time and the dialogue is fantastic and very quotable.
The chilling final scene and line stays with you for a long time after the movie has finished.
This is a masterpiece that every movie fan should see.
Essential. A Notorious Movie.
