probably the best outdoor adventure movie ever made, though the ending could have been better, the seen with the hillbilly kid and the unfortunate ronny cox is hypnotic as they are both strumming brilliantly on there guitar and banjos. The movie does have a very disturbing scene in it which isnt easy to view but the best of a great bunch of john boorman movies

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars A true horror classic!

Right the first time I ever saw DELIVERANCE, I was terrified. This is a truly roller-coaster ride of an unpleasant and creepy film. Why is it SO scary? Because it could happen to anybody! There are no monsters (so to speak) or green ooze which attack people, this is the raw brutality of man!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Do you hear banjos...?

After watching this film-you'll think of it each time you hear a banjo playing.A truly fantastic film which is still as fresh now as the day it was made.

All together now-"squeal like a pig boy!"

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Avoid those hillbillies !!! Gripping.

An excellent film that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the moment the hillbillies start their scarey antics. Bruce Reynolds plays a superb macho part with his high tech bow and arrows, keeping himself and the rest of his group just one jump ahead of the hillbillies seeking revenge. Lots af action and excitement all through, and some fabulouse scenery. A film you can watch over and over again, gripping from start to finish. But whatever you do avoid that area of Georgia.!!!
