Doctor who centres on a man who goes under the title of "The Doctor. He is a timelord but is affected by his past. Many years ago, his people and the daleks fought in a battle which left him as a sole survivor. He now travels alone.

That changes when he meets Rose Tyler. After saving london from killer mannequins, she joins him on his time machine known as the TARDIS. They go to the future and see the world end, they go to the past and battle evil spirts with Charles dickens as well as battle slitheens at Downing street, killer reality shows and the legendary Daleks.

The show also focusses on Rose's home life which is her Mum Jackie who is a fantastic character as well as her boyfriend Mickey who comes across as dumb but has a heart of gold. The last 5 episodes see the addition of an American Captain named Jack who becomes an important ally to the Doctor and Rose.

The chemistry between The Doctor and Rose is fantastic and Eccleston is good and witty as the Doctor but these days his performance is unoticed. Billie Piper is fairly alright as an Actress as she best known as a Popstar to the public, but you can't deny the girl can't act

Doctor who became a sci-fi classic spanning three decades. It has been brought back for a new generation and is now back to being Britain's top sci-fi show.
