There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call...The Twilight Zone!

 Fantastic viewing

This is as good as it gets. Every bit as good as I remember it from the 60s. Slightly let down by the fact that disc 5 has an inherent fault on episodes 5 and 6. They just will not play. I changed the set 3 times and had the same fault on all of them. Decided to keep the third one though, as the rest of the episodes make up for the fault.
Enjoyed this season so much that I am now the proud owner of season two, and it probably won't stop there. Makes me wish I was back in the 60's again!!! They definately don't make 'em like that any more.

 Walking Distance

What a fantastic series of television! The sheer quality of this show is extraordinary. Rod Serling's writing is among some of the finest I've seen on TV and I highly recommend this to anyone with a passing interest in sci-fi, mystery or drama. Pleased to note my disc 5 worked perfectly, and without rubbing it in, the final 2 episodes on this disc are corkers - well worth getting hold of a good copy. Finally, I'd be interested if future reviewers named their fave episode from the season, mine would be Walking Distance - poignant, nostalgic and beautiful. Coincidentally it's also JJ Abrams' favourite episode. Enjoy...

 A real masterpiece

A genuine classic that should be in everyone's collection.

Worth noting that the faulty disc 5 can be exchanged with 2entertain - it's a generic fault in the manufacturing.

Absolute Classic TV, shame about the disc fault...

A true TV classic, in every sense of the word. It's amazing to think that this is now fifty years old! It's a testament to how groundbreaking the show was, that it still holds its own against modern science fiction and mystery TV today. The picture quality & sound are very crisp & clean - remarkable considering the vintage.

This would have got five stars, but for the extremely disappointing error on the fifth disc. I can play the first 4 episodes, but the last two are just garbled digital noise. A real pity, as judging from the booklet's synopses, they sound like crackers! I've heard lots of other folk report problems, even with replacement discs, so I don't know whether its worth trying to obtain a different one...

 Great Value

I only really wanted to ask, was this product supposed to come with the book companion. I bought this as a present for my dad hoping that there would be a book to accompany the dvds but when I opened the package I was a bit surprised to find that it wasnt in there. If the book isnt supposed to be with the product then the image above is very misleading.
