This was to be Pierce Brosnan's final outing as 007, and what a great Bond he was too!

James Bond's newest mission begins with a spectacular high-speed hovercraft chase through a minefield in the demilitarized zone separating North and South Korea - and the action doesn't let up until the credits roll. From Hong Kong to Cuba to London, Bond circles the world in his quest to unmask a traitor and prevent a war of catastrophic proportions. On his way he crosses paths with Jinx (Oscar ®-winner Halle Berry) and Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike), who will play vital roles in his latest adventure. Hot on the trail of deadly megalomaniac Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) and his ruthless right-hand man Zao (Rick Yune), Bond travels to Iceland into the villain's lair: a palace built entirely of ice. There he experiences firsthand the power of a new hi-tech weapon. Ultimately it all leads to an explosive confrontation - and an unforgettable conclusion - back in Korea where it all started.

Nothing like as bad as some would have you believe

Top 100 Electronics Reviewer

The 20th Bond movie released 40 years after Dr. No first hit the screens. A time for celebration. A few nods and winks to the previous 19 films. To begrudge this film that, as some appear to be doing, is churlish in the extreme. Die Another Day isn't perfect. It's certainly not the best Bond. But it's no stinker like Never Say Never Again, either. The invisible Aston Martin is a gimmick too far, but it's hardly on screen all that long. The CGI wave is bad but, again, it's onscreen seconds. And there are plenty of good points, too. Brosnan, in what turned out to be his final Bond performance, is relaxed and assured. The first half an hour is up there with the best of Bonds. And the sword fight between Bond and Graves is one of the finest fights in the series. A mixture, then. But the good points far outweight the bad. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have taken the series into newer, more adult and more edgy waters and I prefer that. But I enjoy the sillier Bond romps when I'm in the mood. And for outrageous action on a big budget, Die Another Day is up there with You Only Live Twice and Moonraker - both underrated by the more po-faced purists.

dont listen to that other guy he blatently not even seen the film or he just hates pierce brosnen, die another die is definatly in the top 3 bond films ever, personally i think casino royal is number 1 and i place this as my second favorite. the stunts and effects are amazing and the story line is in depth and amazing. pierce brosnen also plays bond the best of all of the actors previously, really recormend it

I really enjoyed this film and thought it had one of the most complex villains in Toby Stephens Character Colonel Moon/ Gustav Graves. The action is good and entertaining however some of the special effects such as the invisible Vanquish are a bit OTT, but that doesn't matter as the film itself and the actors are on great form. I would put this film as second only to Casino Royale and Pierce Brosnan is my second favourite Bond behind Daniel Craig.
